Description- Natural Multani Mitti (Fuller’s Earth) is a mineral‑rich natural clay composed mainly of hydrous aluminium silicates (bentonitic clays) with minerals such as magnesium, calcium and iron, prized for its exceptional ability to absorb oil, dirt and impurities. Finely milled to around 200–300 mesh, it disperses smoothly in water, making it an ideal base for face masks, cleansers, scrubs, herbal cosmetics and Ayurvedic preparations.
Beyond beauty, Multani Mitti is used in oil refining, decolorising and filtration in industrial processes, as a carrier for pesticides and fertilisers, and in cat litter and absorbent applications because of its high liquid‑uptake capacity. Indian deposits—especially in Rajasthan (Barmer, Jodhpur) with supporting supplies from Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh—are recognised globally.
