Description- Java peanuts (also called Spanish peanuts) are a rounder, smaller‑kernel variety prized in Southeast Asian and confectionery markets for their sweet flavour, creamy texture and attractive pinkish skin. With counts typically from 40/50 up to 140/160 per ounce, Java peanuts give excellent roasting performance and a strong aroma, driven by higher pyrazine and polyphenol content compared with Bold peanuts.

Analytical comparisons show Java/Spanish types having slightly higher protein, dietary fibre, potassium, magnesium and iron than runner varieties, making them a nutritionally attractive choice for snacking blends and natural peanut butter. Their shorter crop cycle (90–130 days depending on subspecies) and strong performance in Gujarat and Rajasthan ensure reliable supply for long‑term contracts
